History of the Old School Site
This was the site of the infant and junior schools until the late 1960s/early 1970s when first the junior school moved to new the premises in Fawkham Road followed by the infant school. KCC then used the buildings as an Adult Centre until selling it to the Parish Council who run it as a community centre.
There are dedicated buildings on this site for the Pre-school, Dance Studio and St Edmunds’ Centre (Church outreach centre offering groups and facilities for the local community)
The old flint building (the original school) houses a Railway Club and there is a medium sized hall which is used by local groups and available for hire for family gatherings/parties.
